  • The article reports that the base rate (BR) has been replaced by the base lending rate (BLR) framework as the new reference rate for retail loan facilities in Malaysia as of March 9, 2015. It is noted that financial service providers (FSP) are required to maintain proper policies and clear governance arrangements for determining the BR under the new framework.
