  • The article reports on a recent study by FTI Consulting Inc., which found that activism is an important catalyst for change supported by 76% of people. It is stated that shareholders are being engaged as a way to counteract the effects of institutional investor-activist pairings by more and more companies. It is mentioned that the perfect example of institutional investors preferring openness to activism is the increasing push for proxy access.
