Resumen de GM 27. Analysis of rectal temperatre variability in Carora cows

Rita Rizzi, E. Heinz, Franco Cerruti, Julio Cesar Álvarez

  • 1162 Carora cows were used to investigate the relation between rectal temperature and daily milk yield, stage of lactation and gestation, and age. Rectal temperature was higher in the evening than in the morning. There was a positive effect of daily milk production on rectal temperature, while a negative relation was found between rectal temperature and stage of lactation. The effect of age was significant and older cows had a higher rectal temperature.
