The work was conducted in the Animal Production Unit of the Universidad Ezequiel Zamora, Guanare, Portuguesa state Venezuela. The objective was to evaluate a hairy West African ovine flock through the parameters: weight at 120 days (P120), weight at 180 days (P180), daily weight gain postweaning (GDPOD) and daily weight gain for life (GDPV), analyzed by least square method, considering the effects of sex (M, H); type of birth (TP): single lambing birth (Ps) and multiple lambing birth (Pm); birth season (EN): rainy (LL), transcision (T) and dry (S); birth year (AÑO): 93, 94 and 95; interactions; and mother weight at lambing (PMP) and weaning age (ED) as covariables. Adjusted average of P120, P180, GDPOD y GDPV were 13.43; 16.18 kg, 50.68 and 75.14 g. GDPV was higher 7.9 % (P
