In “El Vigía”, Mérida, State, 115 dual purpose dairy farms, were evaluated by methodology “quick diagnosis of productive profiles and technological standards functionality" in cattle. An structural-functional analysis were carrie out. The structural analysis detected 4 production modalities: Dairy-Beef (LC), Dairy-Beef raising (LCL), Beef-dairy (CL) and dairy Specialized or Toward them (ESP). The farms correponding to each modality were: 52, 32, 5 and 26 respectively. These 4 productive modalities expressed following technical-productives indicative terminals, associated productivity/area were: 1 027 ± 597; 1 143 ± 971, 781 ± 510 and 350 ± 69.83 (1/ ha/year) (LHAÑO), 1.68 ± 0.52, 1.6 ± 0.86, 1.60 ± 0.69 and 1.61 ± 0.43 (U.A./ ha) (CA) 1.04 ± 0.37, 0.99 ± 0.65, 0.85 ± 0.38 and 0.44 ± 0.1 (Cow/ha of grazing) (VHP)respectively; and those associated with productivity/animal were: 4.3 ± 1.91, 5.87 ± 3.2, 3.8 ± 1.19 and 3.87 ± 0.99 (1/ milking cow/day), (LVOD) 2.8 ± 1.41, 3.6 ± 2.1, 2.5 ± 0.89 and 2.24 ± 0.74 (1/ herd cow/day) (LVRD) and 67 ± 12, 63 ± 16, 66 ± 11 and 58.9 ± 15 (Percentage of cows in milking in relationship to the whole of cows) (PVRT) respectively, emphasized a high variability in each one of the indicators.
