• Relationships between lactoprotein genetic markers both with daily milk yield and persistency were investigated in 121 Carora cows from two herds. The daily milk yield was significantly influenced by the b-lactoprotein genotype. AA cows showed a lower milk production during lactation and reached peak yield later. Persistency was no significantly affected by the lactoprotein loci.
