Resumen de Strengthening Relationships between Chemistry Faculties at Two-Year and Four-Year Institutions

Harry Ungar, David R. Brown

  • In the United States, a significant proportion of undergraduate chemistry is taught in the nation’s two-year colleges (2YCs). Nonetheless 2YCs are generally underappreciated, with their contributions to the higher education community often overlooked. This editorial, written by two chemists teaching at 2YCs, urges greater appreciation for 2YCs and advocates for increased collaboration between 2YCs and four-year chemistry departments, leading to better-prepared future graduates in the chemical sciences.
