    This article discusses urban occupations as dynamics of discourse that compose meanings and senses to the public space, through the conception of happening. It seeks to explain the dialogic processes that occur in these events and that occur in these manifestations and that count on the contribution of several psychological, cultural and historical factors. Therefore, it is the urban setting as one of the vectors that contributes to the formation of the narratives in the city, and they urge us to think about the relations of appropriation of space as creating places of experience in the social context. These events are understood as a means of interaction that put in challenge issues such as collective space and freedom of expression, a kind of communicational space frontier, in a dialogical construction. In this di­rection it constitutes the metropolis while rebuilding the environment in which subjectivities, in interactions of iden­tification and differentiation that create a dynamic construction of the notion of the self and the other. It is thought of the urban manifestations as happenings, in which the construction of otherness and therefore the relational identity gets involved with social processes with more far reaching, occupying a space of communicational frontier.

    O presente artigo busca discutir as ocupações urbanas enquanto dinâmicas de discurso que compõem significados e sentidos ao espaço público através da concepção de happening. Procura-se explicitar os processos dialógicos que ocorrem nessas manifes­tações e que contam com a contribuição de vários fatores psicológicos, culturais e históricos. Desta forma, trata-se o cenário urbano como um dos vetores que contribui para a formação das narrativas na cidade, e que nos incitam a pensar as relações de apropriação do espaço como constituição de lugares de experiência no tecido social. Esses eventos são entendidos como meios de interação em que se colocam em xeque questões como espaço coletivo e liberdade de expressão, uma espécie de es­paço comunicacional fronteiriço, numa construção dialógica. Neste sentido a urbe constitui-se enquanto ambiente em que se reconstroem subjetividades, em jogos de identificação e diferenciação que criam uma dinâmica de construção do eu e da noção do outro. Pensa-se nas manifestações urbanas como happenings, nas quais a construção da alteridade e, portanto, da identidade relacional, se implica com processos sociais de mais vasto alcance, ocupando um espaço comunicacional de fronteira.
