Resumen de Phase Transfer Catalysis Applied to Oxidation
Benzhydrol and cycloheptanol have been oxidized to ketones using commercial bleach as oxidizer and tetrabutylammonium hydrogen sulfate as a phase transfer catalyst. Yields are good and the preparations are given to students as laboratory exercise.
