La fase di abbandono dell�Insula delle Ierodule nel contesto delle Case a Giardino, alla luce dei nuovi dati archeologici

  • Recent archaelogical investigations done in two rooms of Ierodule Insula (III, IX, 6) that weren�t delved during Veloccia Rinaldi�s operations, have permitted to specify neglect phase, both in terms of timing that quality (datable between end of III and beginning of IV century A.D.). The mode of obliteration stratigraphy deposition of insula ground floor (both in relation to the removal phenomenal of the curtain walls that the ceiling frescoes collapsing) and characteristics of the finds discovered inside them seem to provide important indications to fix the function of structure housing, within complex dynamic of using transformations of the Case a Giardino unit, between III and IV century A.D.
