Lo scavo e le iscrizioni della tomba J dell�Isola Sacra

  • « Tomba J » excavation from Isola Sacra, located in the same sector of the 1925 excavations, (« Tombe ex Opera Nazionale Combattenti »), brought to light an opistograph inscription. On the visible face of the Carrara veined marble, we can see an epitaph dated of the second half of the second century A.D., and on the other face a dedication to Esculapius, dated of the first half of the second century, an important document considering the rarity of the dedications to this god.
