Resumen de Schools Benefit from Clarkson's CAMP (Center for Advanced Materials Processing)

Dana M. Barry

  • Thanks to Clarkson University's Center for Advanced Materials Processing (CAMP), science students in Northern New York schools were able to see images of individual atoms. CAMP has been sponsoring workshops on the scanning tunneling microscope (STM) for high school science teachers in Northern New York. The workshops allow teachers to see individual atoms of samples and they provide teachers with hands-on science activities and the necessary information and training to properly operate the microscope. Teachers completing the workshop are given an opportunity to borrow the STM for use in their schools.
