This is a conceptual and quantitative approach ta distribution and spacial dimensión of the prívate territorial property in the State of México, as well as the evolution experimented by the social property since the coming of "Ley deReforma Agraria", from January, 6 th, 1915. It is emphasized that when talking about "hacienda" the term is related to the concept of "latifundio"; however, in same districts of the state the conceptual association didn't exist. Resides, through the analysis of the Census Statistics it can be deduced that during the decade of 30 's a 45% of the existing "ejidos" in 1988 was given to thepeasants and that the major prívate territorial property over 1,000 Ha was reduced to a 53%. It is also noticed a tendency to consolidate the "minifundio ". Moreover, it is clearly seen that between 1930 and 1988 there is a permanentincrease in the percentage of the "ejido" related to total labor land studied. This porcentage varíes from 23.6%, registered in 1930 to a 62.07% registered in 1970.
