Se presentan algunos elementos que determinan el cultivo de diferentes tipos de maiz en dos comunidades de la zona de montaña del municipio de San Felipe del Progreso, Estado de México.
Peasant agriculture is characterized by its great bioolgical diversity and cultural variety. In the study of peasant agriculture it is important to understand the way natural resources are managed and why certain decisions made ty the producers lead to an increase in the genetic diversity of their crops, while in other cases such decisions lead to environmental deterioration and a decrease in biological diversity. In the article some elements which determine the production of certain types of corn in two communities in the mountain region of the Municipality of San Felipe del Progreso in the State of Mexico are presented.
