    En 2008 se introdujo, en México, el sistema acusatorio y oral que representa un cambio sustancial en la forma de procurar e impartir justicia pues, hasta la fecha, en el país se vive un ambiente de tortuguismo, ineficacia y corrupción que hace prácticamente nulo el acceso a la justicia para la mayoría de sus habitantes. Aquí se ponen de relieve los aspectos básicos de esta reforma consagrados en la Constitución Política de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos, enfatizando la necesidad de prepararse para el cambio no sólo a nivel de reformas legales, sino sobre todo a nivel de planeación y operación del sistema e incluso de la cultura popular que impera en el país.

    In 2008, the accusatory and oral system was introduced in Mexico. It represents a substantial change in the way the administration and enforcement of justice are carried out, since, up to date, the country presents an ambiance of slowness, inefficiency and corruption that make the access to justice practically impossible. In this paper, the basic aspects of this reform are shown. Such aspects are founded on the Mexican Political Constitution, remarking the need of getting prepared for changes not only at the legal reform level, but specially at the level of planning and operation of the system, and even of the popular culture which is of great importance in the country.
