  En el presente artículo se analizan las bases teóricas que dieron origen a la Revolución Liberal en España y América, se reflexiona acerca del liberalismo Español, la influencia que tuvo la Revolución Francesa y como las teorías de la Ilustración y el Liberalismo revolucionario a raíz de ella entraron en América. Se explica en qué momento se dio la concepción de nación en el constitucionalismo americano. Para finalizar se aborda la aportación novohispana en el caso mexicano..

  This article analyzes the theoretical foundations that led to the Liberal Revolution in Spain and America, reflects on the Spanish liberalism, the influence that had the French Revolution and the theories of the Enlightenment and Liberalism revolutionary and how it came into America. It is explained in which point did the concept of Nation in American constitutionalism surge. The final section deals with the novo-hispan contribution in the Mexican case.
