    El análisis de Correlación de Spearman, es un método estadístico no paramétrico, que pretende examinar la intensidad de asociación entre dos variables cuantitativas. Con base en una investigación clínica real en fisioterapia, el presente artículo ilustra el sustrato teórico subyacente a la aplicación de éste método. Tiene como objetivo ayudar a estudiantes, fisioterapeutas e investigadores a entender su aplicabilidad en muestras pequeñas y en aquellas que no tienen una distribución normal, condiciones muy frecuentes en la investigación en fisioterapia, y puntualizar sobre la interpretación de los resultados.

    The correlation’s Spearman is a nonparametric statistical method, which aims to examine the strength of association between two quantitative variables. Based on a true clinical research in physiotherapy, this article illustrates the underlying theoretical application of this method substrate, to help students, professionals and researchers to understand their applicability to small samples and those who do not have a normal distribution, very common conditions on research in physiotherapy, and so complex and restricted areas such as critical care, and achieve the interpretation of results.
