El artículo expone los principales elementos que el genio toscano retoma de la tradición científica, la manera como los aborda y hace evolucionar a través de una nueva forma de integrarlos en una estructura lógica y coherente, que en su origen proviene del pensamiento geometrizante de Arquimedes, a los que se integran otros cambios de especial relevancia para constituir en la ciencia el paradigma galileano.

The scientific revolution operated by Galileo is due fundamentally to a deepepistemological transformation of the terms of intelligence that allow the acquisition of that knowledge. The article presents the main elements that the Tuscan genius inherits from the scientific tradition. The way he takled and revolutionized them was through a new way of integrating them in a new logical and coherent structure that in its origin comes from Arquimides' geometríc thought; joining with other changes of special relevance to constitute the Galilean paradigm in science.
