    Este artículo comienza con una breve reseña histórica de la propiedad Painlevé. Posteriormente se aplica la prueba de Painlevé a dos ecuaciones diferenciales parciales no lineales (la ecuación de Tu, y una extensión de la ecuación mKdV) que no habían sido analizados de esta forma con anterioridad y se demuestra que ambas ecuaciones poseen la propiedad de Painlevé. El análisis de Painlevé se utiliza también para determinar una transformación de Bäcklund y la forma bilineal de la ecuación Tu; además se encuentra una reducción de similiridad para esta ecuación mediante el método de Clarkson y Kruskal.

    This paper begins with a brief review of the history of the Painlevé property. The Painlevé test is applied to two non linear partial differential equations (the Tu equation, and an extended m KdVequation) which have not been tested in this way before, and it is proved that these two equations possess the Painlevé property. The Painlevé analysis also is used to determine a Bäcklund transformation and the bilinear form of the Tu equation. A similarity reduction for this equation is found by means of the Clarkson-Kruskal method
