Verónica Gago ve en la revista Controversia. Para el examen de la realidad argentina –publicada en México entre 1979 y 1981 por un grupo de exiliados argentinos con trayectorias políticas en la izquierda peronista o marxista– un análisis temprano y minoritario de la derrota, una propuesta de transformar la condición exiliar en situación de excepcionalidad para la producción intelectual, un experimento anticipatorio del vocabulario político que será hegemónico en los ochenta. La labor de esta investigación supera el ejercicio retrospectivo, como reafirmación de nuestra soberanía lingüística recordando una lengua olvidada, para resucitar aquello que el tiempo había cancelado y arrojarlo a la arena de la transformación sociosimbólica de nuestro presente.

Verónica Gago sees in the magazine Controversy. For the examination of the Argentine reality –published in Mexico between 1979 and 1981 for a group of Argentine exiles with political paths in the left side Peronist or Marxist– an early and minority analysis of the defeat, an offer to transform the condition to exile in situation of excepcionalidad for the intellectual production, an experiment anticipatorio of the political vocabulary that will be hegemonic in the eighties. The labor of this investigation overcomes the retrospective exercise, as reaffirmation of our linguistic sovereignty remembering a forgotten language, to revive that one that the time had cancelled and to throw it to the sand of the transformation sociosimbólica of our present.
