    En la década del ochenta, atravesado por un tiempo histórico donde se  va cristalizando la idea de que el único mundo posible es el del orden neoliberal va constituyéndose un campo académico que tiene como objeto la comunicación.  Este campo de estudios va a asumirse como un campo interdisciplinar, donde la comunicación "no es todo pero debe hablarse desde todas partes" (Schmucler , 1983). Por comunicación se va a entender no sólo el estudio del periodismo, la enseñanza de sus prácticas, sino fundamentalmente el análisis sobre los modos de construcción social de los sentidos

    The regional current context, in which the politics has been revitalized as option of transformation, there calls to constructing us an academic alternative model the hegemonic one. The article proposes to take certain decisions epistemological - that are simultaneously ethical and political - fell like: to embrace a point of view of the hope, which not only sees what has been destroyed; to think the totalities, instead of the disseminations; to understand the social life from the conflict, the multiplicity of elements in struggle and in movement; to enable the capture of position for the production of to know, in opposition to the idea of an independent and objective science; the contagion promotes of / with other one (s), against the culture of the aseptic laboratory; and to recover the violence of the theory, that breaks and that upsets.
