The article discusses how global regulatory reforms and rule making resulted to a broader European-listed exchange traded funds (ETF) over the first half of 2015 with traditional fund managers seeking regulatory approval to issue exchange-traded shares from their existing undertakings for collective investment in transferable securities (Ucits) platforms. Assets in European-listed ETFs total 500 billion U.S. dollars and is predicted to increase to 1.1 trillion U.S. dollars in 2020.
