This article reflects about the invisible beauty’s dictatorship in Brazil. Invisible because it is an ethnocentric question, that is, people are born and grow within a particular culture, with certain customs and values tend to take that kind of behavior as correct, without giving up realize how harmful at various levels such paradigms can be. The idea of this article is to make the reader look at their own culture with the same critical sense that you look at the other and thus also try to imagine how other cultures see them.

O presente artigo reflexiona sobre a invisível ditadura da beleza no Brasil. Invisível porque trata-se de uma questão etnocêntrica, ou seja, as pessoas quando nascem e crescem dentro de uma determinada cultura, com diferentes costumes e valores tendem a tomar aquele tipo de comportamento como correto, sem dar-se conta do quão nocivos em vários níveis tais paradigmas podem ser. A idéia deste artigo é fazer com que o leitor olhe para sua própria cultura com o mesmo senso crítico que ele olha para as demais e, assim, também imaginar como outras culturas os vêem
