    Xenotransplantation means transplantation of organs, tissues and / or cells of animals, genetically modified or not, between different species. The ovarian xenotransplantation is used as a method of collecting and maturation of follicles and their oocytes, however improving certain techniques is still necessary. The aims of this review article are the physiological aspects of the follicular approach and to record the development of the technique and how researchers have conducted their studies in recent years in animal ovarian xenotransplantation

    Xenotransplante consiste em transplantar órgãos, tecidos e/ou células de animais, geneticamente modificados ou não, entre espécies diferentes. O xenotransplante ovariano é utilizado como método de coleta e maturação dos folículos e seus oócitos, e para tanto é necessário ainda aprimoramento de algumas técnicas. Este artigo de revisão tem como objetivo, abordar aspectos fisiológicos foliculares e registrar o aperfeiçoamento da técnica e de que forma os pesquisadores vêm conduzindo seus estudos nos últimos anos em xenotransplante ovariano animal.
