    Estudio de la obra de un cuchillero y la de sus hijos, de la familia Ximénez de maestros cuchilleros-cerrajeros, como muchos de ellos se denominaban, que trabajaron en Albacete, el centro cuchillero más importante de España, en el labrado de estas tijeras de escritorio con leyenda, durante tres siglos.

    The geanological history and work of the Ximenez family as cutlers and locksmiths is described here. The founder of the dynasty was Antonio Ximenez who started this career as a locksmith in 1670, the last known member of the family in 1780 bing Pedro Ximenez.

    Different members of this farnily were the makers of the six writing-desk scissors showing a legend and a boot dagger, whose design and manufacture are studied in this paper.

    The pieces belong to the Rico and manufacture are studied in this paper. The pieces belong to the Rico and Sinovas collection kept at the Museo Arqueológico Nacional, and also to the private collection of the author of this article.
