  • WE welcome the recent focus of the Vet Futures project and Veterinary Record Comment on veterinary nurses (VR, September 19, 2015, vol 177, p 270). As your Comment and the 2014 RCVS Survey of the Profession indicate, just under 20 per cent of veterinary nurses plan to leave the profession. Of these, a significant number (54 per cent) said that not feeling rewarded or valued in non-financial terms contributed to this decision.
