  • The author, U.S. senator and 2016 U.S. presidential candidate Marco Rubio, outlines his campaign's foreign policy platform. He argues that the foreign policy of U.S. president Barack Obama must be reversed, particularly concerning issues such as U.S. involvement concerning the spread of the Islamic militant group Islamic State, Iran's nuclear weapons program, and the U.S. defense budget. He proposes a foreign policy based on the three pillars that include American strength abroad, U.S. protection of an open international economy, and moral clarity of U.S. leadership. He also discusses his plans concerning Iran, the Russian annexation of Crimea, and U.S. relations with China
