  • Resumen
    • The paper discusses some of the technological advances and economic developments in Anglo-Saxon countries and Continental Europe, based on the use of digital technology in three fronts: information science, communication and digital electronics. These ideas and proposals have become objects of study in countries all over Europe, with emphasis on Internet user education, cultural promotion and electronic public administration, and each country has defined weaknesses and strengths in getting said goal. In the paper, I focus on the Spanish case, where we can see a series of projects such as judicial electronics signatures already in use by members of the Supreme Court. In the field of Education, we find various companies occupied on development of virtual education, such as COMUNET promoting massive access to Internet. People also have been working in the field of contratación informática, and it is on this point that I put my main emphasis.
