This paper is a reflection on the legal and political situation that indigenous peoples live in relation to cultural heritage. Since the mid-eighties has resulted in a number of international agreements and constitutional reforms that have forced other institutions to modify their statutes in order to create an inclusive environment for different cultures living in Mexico, INAH however, not no change can be made in this regard
