    • One of the subjects of the paper is the territorial heritage of Havana, from its origins to the moment in which were established its provincial limits of today. Other issues are the different definitions of urban heritage, emphasizing in the concept of Historical Center and its evolution, in both, national and international levels.

      In other part of the paper the author goes through the category of Urban Zone of Historical and Cultural Value and its types; she analyzes the built territorial cultural heritage of Havana to establish its System of Centers, Ensembles and Historical Urban Spaces. The author considers what is at present delimited as the Historical Center of Old Havana, World Heritage, part of the territorial heritage of Havana and its biggest value. She emphasizes in the importance of the territorial heritage of Havana because of its diversity and the easiness of its historical reading from its foundation in XVI Century to modern patrimony, and assures its condition as a Historical City.
