Cities suffer cyclical changes in order to adapt its inner structure to the new challenges and needs set by its own development. One of the challenges of the XXI century is to make this evolution to respect and to renew identities, cultural traditions and lifestyles, affected by today�s globalization. A real possibility to achieve this is through the insertion of new architectures and urban designs that can be able to lead properly the historic urban landscape reconfiguration process, that�s why is valid the application of a method which, through a basic unit component�s evaluation of historic urban landscape, urban planners can find the local spirit, and use it to reinforce the overall landscape identity of the city, and update it to the new needs of society.
