    En el presente artículo se hace una breve presentación de la labor de los intelectuales rumanos en América Latina durante la segunda mitad del siglo XX. Después de la instauración del comunismo en Rumanía, al final de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, los que no estaban de acuerdo con la imposición forzada de la nueva ideología totalitaria, se vieron obligados a exiliarse a otros países del mundo, entre ellos, los de América Latina. Se tuvieron que adaptar a otro idioma, a otra realidad e integrarse en la sociedad latinoamericana. Algunos de ellos llegaron a ser catedráticos de algunas de las más prestigiosas universidades de América Latina. Una actividad complementaria de estos intelectuales fue la de difundir la cultura rumana, no sólo dentro de su propia comunidad a raíz de la publicación de una serie de revistas en rumano, sino también en la sociedad latinoamericana.

    The present paper attempts to make a brief presentation of the work conducted by Romanian intellectuals in Latin America during the second half of the 20th century. After the establishment of communism in Romania, at the end of the Second World War, those who objected to the forced imposition of the new totalitarian ideology saw themselves obliged to go into exile. Among the countries they moved to were also those of Latin America. They had to adapt to another language, to another reality and integrate into the Latin American society. Some of them became professors in some of the most prestigious Latin American universities. A complementaryactivity of these intellectuals was to disseminate the Romanian culture, not only within their own community through the publication of a series of magazines in Romanian, but also within the Latin-American society.
