Resumen de El patrimonio edificado inmerso en la dinámica urbana contemporánea

Ariadna Leecet González Solís

  • The contemporary cities of Mexico are a stratification of past and current urban dynamics, that is why one of the problems is focused on the search for the conciliation of the heritage and their use and function in the contemporary city. Three factors contribute to this problem: the development of the theory and practice of the conservation discipline, which is characterized by isolating monuments or historical areas of urban dynamics; public policies that are geared primarily to the provision of basic services, roadways, functional zoning, etc.; and finally, the idea of architecture and built heritage, that society is outlined, which usually does not match with the categories and designations raised from the political ambit. These divergences have led to the creation of "cultural products" that do not represent any heritage value for the society that lives them or used them.
