Resumen de RCVS: Names removed from the RCVS Register

• THE names of 372 veterinary surgeons were removed from the RCVS Register on June 1 for non-payment of their annual renewal fee. The fee was officially due to be paid by April 1 this year, although the RCVS says that payment was accepted up to and including May 31. It reports that up to five reminders had been sent to veterinary surgeons since February this year.

  A list of those who were removed from the Register is available on the RCVS website at www.rcvs.org.uk/registration/about-the-rcvs-register and the College is encouraging practices to check that members of staff do not appear on the list. It reminds those affected that, if they have been removed from the Register, it would be illegal for them to carry out any acts of veterinary surgery. It adds that anyone who was removed from the Register on June 1 but who has since been restored will not appear on the list.

A £299 restoration payment will have to be made, in addition to the outstanding annual renewal fee.....
