HE RCVS Disciplinary Committee has adjourned a disciplinary hearing until October this year, but has announced its decisions relating to ‘findings of fact’ in the case.
The committee was hearing the case of David John Porter, who faced a number of charges relating to his behaviour and to his regard for animal welfare. The RCVS reported on July 17 that, in a statement read out shortly before the hearing was adjourned, the chair of the committee, Judith Webb, said that it had reached its decision in relation to the charges against Mr Porter and had identified its reasons for reaching the decisions. However, it had had insufficient time to put its reasons into writing and was unable to resume the hearing until October 1....
