Resumen de The books errant: the objects of invention in "Don Quixote"
While focusing on the composition of the knight errant´s story, Part 1 of "Don Quixote" foregrounds a number of objects and a number of books. Many of the objects relate to the preferred reading of Alonso Quijano, the romances of chivalry. In Part 2, the obsession with books becomes more clearly the obsession with a single book, Part 1, and, understood in the broadest sense, with its place in the world. Fortuitously, the notorious Avellaneda sequel wounds Cervantes´s sensibility but affects his creative powers in remarkable ways.
