Starting from different definitions of the reality and realism suggested by different thinkers and theorists through the years, this work proposes a thought about the concept of realism in the current Spanish theatre, in particular in two works of the playwright César López Llera: Un Chivo en la Corte del botellón o Valle Inclán en Lavapiés (A Goat in the Court of The Big Bottle or Valle Inclán in Lavapiés) y Últimos días de una puta libertaria o La Vieja y la Mar (The Last Days of a Libertarian Whore or The old Woman and The Sea)

Partiendo de las distintas definiciones sobre los conceptos de realidad y realismo que han propuesto a lo largo de la historia distintos pensadores y teóricos, este trabajo propone una reflexión sobre el concepto de realismo en el teatro español actual, concretamente en dos obras del dramaturgo César López Llera: Un Chivo en la Corte del botellón o Valle Inclán en Lavapiés y Últimos días de una puta libertaria o La Vieja y la Mar.
