    La reciente concesión del Premio Nacional de Danza a Isabel Bayón me ha llevado a escribir unas líneas como homenaje, aunque, dado los méritos artísticos que atesora, no había hecho falta esperar la obtención del citado galardón. Partiendo de una biografía profesional, que arranca en sus inicios con Matilde Coral, tanto como bailaora como coreógrafa, el texto trata de analizar las características estilísticas de la intérprete, dejando constancia de su entronque en la Escuela Sevillana de Baile Flamenco, de la que se ha constituido en la principal continuadora de nombres como Pastora Imperio, Matilde Coral y Milagros Mengíbar

    The recent grant from the National Dance Award to Isabel Bayon has led me to write a few lines as a tribute, though given the artistic merit she holds,it would not have been needed to wait to obtain the mentioned award. From a professional biography, which starts in the beginning with Matilde Coral, both as a dancer and a choreographer, the text attempts to analyze the stylistic features of the interpreter, noticing her ties with the Sevillana Flamenco Dance School where she has become the main successor to names such as Pastora Imperio, Matilde Coral and Milagros Mengíbar
