El artículo describe las incursiones de los creadores colombianos en el teatro cervantino, tanto en adaptaciones de su prosa como en sus comedias y entremeses. Se destaca la tradición constituida por el grupo de teatro La Candelaria y el maestro Santiago García y, posteriormente, por la Universidad del Valle. Si bien las puestas en escena son pocas, el autor identifica temas recurrentes y establece afinidades entre las formas de producción experimental del teatro colombiano y los postulados cervantinos.

The article describes the incursions of Colombian artists into the theatre of Cervantes, both in adaptations of his prose, as well as in his comedies and entremeses. Of note are the traditions established by the theater La Candelaria and its director Santiago Garcia, and later by Del Valle University. Though there have been very few stagings, the author identifies recurring themes and establishes affinities between the forms of experimental production in Colombian theatre and the aesthetic postulates of Cervantes.
