    Por abundante que sea la bibliografía sobre el teatro del absurdo, la investigación en torno al mismo es inagotable. Dedicamos nuestro trabajo a un autor hispano-chileno que es actualmente poco conocido en España. Nuestra intención es doble: por una parte, adentrarnos en el mundo teatral de este prestigioso dramaturgo haciendo hincapié en los rasgos del teatro absurdista aprovechados por él. Por otra parte, nos acercamos a una de sus obras que casi no ha sido estudiada, El desvarío. Para ello, estudiaremos esta obra concentrándonos en cuatro elementos principales: los personajes, el tiempo y el espacio, el humor y el lenguaje.

    Owing to the abundance of literature on the “Theater of the Absurd” and the human depth and universality of the themes it proposes, research in this field is inexhaustible. I prefer to dedicate my work to a Spanish-Chilean author, currently little known in Spain. My intention is twofold: on the one hand, I wish to carry out an in-depth study of the theatrical world of this talented playwright emphasizing the features of this type of theater used by Jorge Díaz. On the other hand, my research project aims to approach a work hardly studied by the Chilean playwright, El desvarío (The Delirium). In order to do this, the study will be carried out, projecting light on four main elements: the characters, time and space, humor and language.
