La interacción social en el mundo digital, analizada a través de su mediación por pantallas, abre el theatrum mundi a los espacios virtuales. La complejidad de papeles sociales-virtuales tiene un reflejo en la avatarización de la sociedad-red. Esta orientación se erige una máscara total y es la base de las simulaciones performativas de la sociedad en internet. En este contexto, analizamos la machinima como fenómeno de teatro de marionetas digital mediado principalmente por videojuegos y difundido con las herramientas de la red.

Social interactions in the digital world, analyzed through its mediation by screens, opens the theatrum mundi to virtual spaces. The complexity of virtual-social roles is a reflection on the avatar-oriented conversion of the network society. This orientation plays the role of a full mask and is the basis for the performing simulations of the internet society. In this context, we discuss the machinima as a digital puppet-theatre phenomenon mediated primarily by video games and spread through the network tools.
