La campaña de documentación y análisis, llevada a cabo de acuerdo al programa presentado y aprobado por las autoridades jordanas y españolas, ha sido realizada en tres subcampañas de trabajo de campo desarrolladas en 2013 y el primer semestre de 20141. El trabajo que aquí se presenta se ha centrado básicamente en cuatro grupos de actividades ligados a cuatro complejos monumentales.
El primer grupo de actividades se ha centrado en el complejo de Qasr al-Hallabat donde se ha continuado la investigación y los trabajos de musealización del Edicto del emperador Anastasio. Los trabajos de recomposición, exégesis y traducción del texto han continuado (a cargo del Dr. Denis Feissel-EHEP-CNRS), así como los centrados en el estudio de su ubicación original y las razones de su reuso en Hallabat (a cargo del Dr. Arce). Se ha dado inicio a un subproyecto para la realización de una serie de réplicas (en colaboración con el Dr. Thomas Weber-Universidad de Mainz) para la musealización y presentación al público del Edicto y como instrumento para la docencia de epigrafía griega en la Universidad jordana.
Por otro lado, han continuado las labores de análisis, documentación, restauración y musealización de los objetos recuperados en la excavación, de cara a la ultimación del museo de sitio. Se ha iniciado la preparación del catálogo electrónico (en colaboración con el Center of Digital Archaeology de Berkley CA-CoDA) de los objetos de la excavación de cara a la gestión integral del Museo de Sitio y de la colección en sí.
El segundo grupo de trabajos se ha centrado en los baños omeyas de Qusayr �Amra, continuando la documentación y análisis de los paramentos decorados con pintura mural de su interior, así como en la realización de una prospección de los alrededores, de cara a delimitar el perímetro (requerido por la UNESCO bajo la protección como «Patrimonio de la Humanidad»), y la redacción del plan de gestión del sitio. Esta inspección, realizada en 2012, ha llevado al descubrimiento de las canteras y de un edificio dedicado a alojar a los trabajadores ligados a la construcción y servicio del edificio del baño.
El tercer grupo de actividades se han centrado en el alcázar omeya de Qasr Kharana, donde se ha continuado con los trabajos de documentación y reconstrucción infográfica de la apariencia original del monumento, prestando especial atención a las cubiertas abovedadas y cupuladas de las salas del piso noble.
El cuarto, en los baños omeyas de Hammam as-Sarrah, con el estudio de la puerta de acceso al salón de audiencias (de cara a su anastylosis), y el estudio preliminar de la viabilidad de realizar una prospección con métodos geofísicos (remote sensing) para estudiar los sistemas hidráulicos así como de la disposición del jardín y la fuente aneja en próximas campañas.

The campaign of documentation and analysis, carried out according to the program agreed with the Spanish and Jordanian Authorities has been carried during three sub-campaigns of field work carried out during 2013 and the first semester of 2014 (some activities from 2012 are presented as well). The work carried out and here drafted, has been focused on four main groups of activities linked to the following four complexes.
The first group is linked to the Qasr al-Hallabat complex, where have been carried out research and musealization works on the Emperor Anastasius Edict: The works of restitution , exegesis and translation have been developed, as well as those focused on the study of its original location and the reasons for its reuse at Hallabat. A sub-project devoted to the elaboration of a series of replicas (using silicon moulds) has been set up in order to present to the public the Edict, as well as a tool for teaching Greek epigraphy at the Jordan University.
On other hand, the works of analysis documentation, restoration and musealization of the artefacts retrieved in the excavation of the Hallabat complex, in order to finish the Site Museum.
The elaboration of an electronic catalogue (in collaboration with the Center of Digital Archaeology of Berkley-CoDA) of the ojects retrieved from the excavation, in order to ease the management of the Site Museum and its collection.
The second group of works has focused on the umayyad bath house of Qusayr �Amra, with the documentation of the building and its wall paintings (under restoration by ISCR & WMF). Dr. Arce has also carried out a survey of the surroundings in order to fix the boundaries of the World Heritage site, and to identify new structures, as part of the preliminary works for the redaction of the management plan of the site (both requested by UNESCO). This survey carried out in 2012 has led to the discovery of the quarries of the site and an auxiliary structure, probably devoted for sheltering the workers who built the hammam. It led also to the identification of a late-antique structure between Qusayr Amra and Qasr Kharana, which will be the focus of our research in the future.
The third group of activities have been centerd on the Ummayad place of Qasr Kharana, wher have continued the works of documentation and virtual reconstruction of its missing parts, retrieving its original appearance and paying special attention to the vaulting system of the building.
The fourth structure focus of our work has bee the Umayyad bath-house of Hammam as-Sarrah, with the study of its main door a the preliminary studies to carry out a remote sensing survey of the area of the garden and of its hydraulic infrastructure.
