Resumen de Polska w Miedzynarodowych Organizacjach Lotniczych.

Malgorzata Polkowska

  • This Article titled “Poland in International Aviation Organizations” presents Polish recent activities in international aviation field. The year 2013 was with no doubts the most exceptional in the history of Polish Aviation. The 1st of October 2013 Poland for the first time was elected to the Council of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) ‒ the most prestigious international aviation organization. This event happened in the year, when my mentor Professor Marek Żylicz (very well-known Aviation layer) had celebrated the 90th Anniversary. Professor cooperated with ICAO for years. I have this great prestige as his student to be Polish first Representative to the ICAO Council in the history of Polish Aviation. Building of the Polish aviation history and Poland activity in international organizations still needs a lot of efforts and involvement of aviation authorities. Aviation is from its nature international and Polish engagements in European Aviation activities need sustainable progress in the safety and security of air. Progressing activity of Poland and membership of Polish experts in many internationals and European forums, particularly in ICAO Council, EASA Management Board, Provisional Council of EUROCONTROL, or ECAC, organizations of many workshops and symposiums by Polish aviation authorities causes that Poland seems to be the country of growing aviation potential, and can be a partner in European and worldwide aviation community. Małgorzata Polkowska prof., works with the Civil Aviation Authority as a Director of President’s Office. She has authored several publications on Air Law (International, European, public, private). She lectures at some universities International, Aviation and Space Law. She is a Polish Representative to the ICAO Council (2013-2016).
