Dudovich fue uno de los grandes ilustradores italianos del siglo XX, para muchos el mejor. Llegó a Milán muy joven y fue aprendiz de Metlicovitz y Hohenstein, compañero de Cappiello, Laskoff o Mauzan. Sintetizó las influencias del Jugendstil, Art Nouveau y Modern Style, contribuyendo de forma decisiva al éxito del Liberty y del cartel publicitario artístico. Fue el ilustrador de la moda por antonomasia. Elevó la calidad artística de una manifestación eminentemente efímera, como eran las campañas publicitarias de los grandes almacenes que surgían en Italia a imitación de los franceses

Dudovich was one of the greatest Italian illustrators of the 20th century, the best one for lots of people. He arrived to Milan when he was very young and he was Metlicovitz and Hohenstein’s trainee; and Cappiello, Laskoff or Mauzan’s partner. He synthesised the influences of Jugendstil, Art Nouveau y Modern Style, contributing to the success of the Liberty and the advertising poster in a decisive way.
