• The article offers information on the Egyptian Electricity Law that was issued in July 2015. The law provided for an open market for electricity generation and distribution and it mandated that within three years the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) would be restructured into a transmission system operator independent of all the related electricity sector parties.
