    Soziolinguistikaren ikuspegitik ahozkotasunaren gaia Euskal Herrian zein neurritan landu den aztertuko dugu. Euskal soziolinguistikaren hastapenetan ahozkotasuna ez zen gehien jorratutako gaien artean kokatu, lehentasunak beste esparru batzuetan zeudelako. Hiztunen kopurua ugaldu eta hizkuntza normalizazio prozesuak aurrera egin ahala, ordea, gero eta interes handiagoa azaldu da euskalgintzan erabilitako hizkuntzaren nolakotasunaren eta ahozkotasunaren inguruan. Era berean, hizkuntza kalitatea edo kode nahasketa bezalako gaiek garrantzi handiagoa hartu dute soziolinguistika ikergaietan. Artikuluan zehar, ahozkotasunaren lanketak euskararen erabileran duen garrantzia nabarmenduko da eta lan-ildo zehatzak proposatuko dira.

    We will be examining the extent of the subject of orality in the Basque Country from the sociolinguistic perspective. Orality was not among the most developed subjects in the early days of Basque sociolinguistics, because the priorities were to be found in other spheres. As the number of speakers has increased and the normalisation processes have advanced, increasing interest has emerged surrounding the quality of the language used in Basque language activity and orality. At the same time, subjects such as language quality or code-mixing have become increasingly important in the subjects of research in sociolinguistics. Throughout the article the importance that developing orality has in Basque use will be highlighted and specific lines of work will be proposed.
