    Este artí­culo, segundo de la serie, indaga el proceso de reconstrucción de la cultura de apreciación de la fruta en Europa entre fines del medioevo y el barroco. El foco de interés está puesto en el análisis de fuentes literarias para explicar dicho proceso. En primer lugar, se examina el Decamerón de Boccaccio (1353) y el Libro del Buen Amor del Arcipreste de Hita (1330-1343). Escritas bajo la influencia de Las Mil y Una Noches (McGrady, 2003), en estas obras ya se insinuaban los valores y sensibilidades del Renacimiento, que estaba entonces a punto de comenzar. Desde el sur de España e Italia, la influencia de la cultura musulmana se extiende de las mezquitas hacia las catedrales y palacios cristianos, hasta culminar en la Orangerie del palacio de Versalles, en el centro del poder mundial.

    This article, second in the series, explores the process of rebuilding a culture of appreciation of the fruit in Europe between the late Middle Ages and the Baroque. The focus is on the analysis of literary sources to explain the process. First, we examine the Decameron of Boccaccio (1353) and the Book of Good Love of the Archpriest of Hita (1330-1343). Written under the influence of the Thousand and One Nights (McGrady, 2003), these works have already hinted at the values and sensibilities of the Renaissance, which was then about to begin. From the south of Spain and Italy, the influence of Muslim culture extends from the mosques to the Christian cathedrals and palaces, culminating in the Orangerie of Versailles, in the center of world power.
