Resumen de Tolerancia y desarrollo turístico: Sant antoni en los años cincuenta

  En los años cincuenta se inició el crecimiento turístico que ha creado la Ibiza de hoy. Pero este crecimiento no fue homogéneo y unas zonas se desarrollaron antes que otras. En los años cincuenta Sant Antoni lideraba el crecimiento turístico de la isla y en 1960 acumulaba el 60% del sector. Posteriormente, otras zonas igualaron el desarrollo turístico de Sant Antoni y su Bahía.La pregunta que se plantea es: ¿Por qué Sant Antoni y no otra parte de la isla? La respuesta a esta pregunta parece ser una combinación de factores y circunstancias (entorno natural, situación económica, actitudes de los residentes y autoridades locales), aunque un elevado grado de tolerancia por parte de las autoridades parece el motivo más probable de la primacía inicial de la Bahía de Sant Antoni. Esta mayor tolerancia se debería a los sucesos que ocurrieron en 1936 durante la Guerra Civil Española.

  In the fifties began tourism growth that created the Ibiza today. But this growth was not uniform and some were developed before others.
