Cuando van a cumplirse veinticinco años de la edición de la obra de Julián Casanova, La historia social y los historiadores , su reedición nos invita a revisar un texto que posee la cualidad de ofrecer una síntesis y una interpretación de una de las perspectivas más renovadoras y fértiles producidas por la historiografía del siglo XX. El apéndice al libro y el anexo de 2003 , dedicados a la historiografía española , continúan siendo fuente de discusión, o al menos son una buena oportunidad para regresar a las controversias suspendidas en el tiempo

When the twentieth five anniversary of the release of Julián Casanova’s well - known piece , La historia social y los historiadores , gets closer, its reedition invites us to review a writing that had the virtue to offer a survey and interpretation of one of t he most fertile and renewed perspective yielded in the twentieth century historiography . Its appendix and annex of 2003 , devoted to Spanish historiography , continues to be a source of discussion or at the very least a good opportunity to hark back to contr oversies suspended over time
