Resumen de Ensino superior em turismo: perspectivas e desafios

  This study is part of a research conducted in the Post-Graduate Program in Education, in the Federal University at Uberlândia-MG, guided by the historical background of tourism courses in Belo Horizonte-MG, from 1974-2012. The Doctoral thesis is entitled Historical trajectory of tourism college courses in Belo Horizonte (1974-2012): Between the market determinism and the crisis on professional training. Thereafter, the present work aimed to analyze the emergence of tourism courses, pointing to attempts of adjustments on tourism professional training. As theoretical foundation, we have sought the literature concerning the research topic, and four existing university courses have been analyzed. Thus, the courses curricula have been analyzed, the training of teachers have been evaluated, the candidate per vacancy ratio and the evolution of the graduating students have been presented, and finally, the structures of learning laboratories for practical activities and actions through research and extension have been visited.

  O estudo apresentado é parte da pesquisa realizada na Tese de Doutorado do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia/MG, norteada pelo percurso histórico dos cursos de turismo em Belo Horizonte/MG, no período de 1974 a 2012 e intitulada Trajetória histórica dos cursos superiores de turismo em Belo Horizonte (1974-2012): Entre o determinismo do mercado e a crise da formação profissional. A partir daí, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar o surgimento dos cursos de turismo, apontando as tentativas de ajustes da formação profissional do turismólogo. Como fundamentação teórica, buscou-se na literatura a temática referente à investigação sendo objeto de análise os quatro cursos superiores existentes. Dessa forma, foram analisados os currículos dos cursos; foi avaliada a formação dos professores; foi apresentada a relação candidato por vaga e a evolução dos alunos concluintes;

  e, por fim, foi conhecida a constituição das estruturas dos laboratórios de aprendizagem para as atividades práticas e suas ações através da pesquisa e extensão.
